Self employed, college student with va education benefits!

I get va education benefits because my dad is a disabled vietnam veteran and I am also in college full time. I am trying to figure out if my finacial aid and education benefits count as income? I am also self employed ( I clean houses and apartments on the side). I have 1 child and I used to get earned income credit, can I still? Thank you!

VA benefits (for dependents) are tax free last I checked. Your financial aid department will have info but it should be tax free to you.

Thanks to your father for serving by the way.
