Recieving 23,00.00 should I put it in an IRA ? I am recieving the money from my ex husbands 401k plan. I can roll it over with them or put it in an IRA. I do not have any retirerment plan. |

If you do not have any retirement money at present, I would certainly strongly recommend you put the money into an IRA. I would also make a clear plan to fully fund the IRA each and every year once you get it going. Having retirement funds is vitally important, and every year you wait to start you lose a ton of money.
