Laws My xemployer is holding my 401k. Its been four years since I left. How long can they hold it |
Answer 1/1 - Submitted 8/17/2008
It depends on your company policy on your 401K. Some companies allow you to cash it in and there are some that even when you leave the money has to stay in 401K until retirement. You need to contact your old employer. If you were allowed to get it then there would not of been a four year wait i can tell you that much.
