Is there ever a situation where I spouse will have to pay for the divorce even if the other spouse filed? My husband and I have been married for three years At the time of marriage I was a widowed single parent with a full time job.I also owned both my house and my vehicle priar to marriage.I had perfect credit and I have never payed a bill late .I hads zero debt and shortly after we were married I contributed thirty thousand dollars into our joint account when I withdrew my 401k from my previous job.Everything was in a joint account and was shared.I have always been very financially responsible and worked haed to be debt free. After he depleted the joint account he went on to open another account on his name only.I do not have access to a penny and he gives me no money even though he took my car for work and lives in my house that is paid off.He pays no bills and stold all my credit cards .I am now close to one hunderd thousnd dollars in debt. All his money is put into his account sand I have to sell jewery and other items to buy anything.I am finding it hard to work as his car was foreclosed and he took mine as he drives many miles a day.He said it is his money cause he is the one working.Every pay he goes to the casino and spends his entire pay on gambling to the point where he leaves his account in the negative,He recently spent the 4 thouand dollar income tax return on gambling. This can all be verified on his bank statements.I dont know how I can afford an attornny.I am his fifth wife and he has done this to all of them I later found out. |

I know this may be to late
but dispute the charges on the credit card.
If his name is on the card to
he will have to pay for his charges and you yours
if anything BAD comes up on your credit report from him
you will have to go to each of the 3 reapirting ajencies and dispute
the negative info
and report the car stolen.
then go to legal aid it sounds like he is mentally abusing you to me.
If you can't or find it hard to do these things
just think of what he has done or is doing to you.
