I recently changed jobs and would like to transfer the funds from my 401k into and IRA.Would this be considered a rollover? Im aware that only one rollover is allowed per year . |

My husband changed jobs a year ago and has funds in the old employer's 401k plan. his new employer doen't have a 401k. we make too much to do an ira.we would like to consolodate his 4oik with my current 401k. is this possible to roll over his funds into the 401k with my employer?
I was recently laid-off and my prospective employer doesn't currently offer a 401k (may in the near future). in addition to the above question, will the 401k rollover be considered part of the yearly ira contribution and if so, should that affect anything?
I recently took a small distribution from my 401k (jan 2011). now i'd like to transfer all my 401k funds to a traditional ira, but the plan administrator tells me - since i took a distribution, i have to wait one year. i'm told that the only way around the wait is to actually quit my job....
