I'm being sued for a debt collection, can they touch my 401k plan?

I have been served with a summons from the courts on a debt collection. My question is can they touch my 401k plan? I'm out of a job and I'm on employment.

They can get a judgement but know they cannot touch your 401 K plan. That is your retirement. They can garnish your wages if you have a job or when you get one.
