How much in 401 k typical for retirement average? |
Answer 1/2 - Submitted 6/19/2010
At last I heard, the average American nearing Retirement has about $78,000 in their 401(k) account (that is, if they have a 401(k)).
If, on the other hand, you want an idea of how much you should have in your 401(k) before you Retire . . . it would take me far too long to go through all of the possibilities and permutations. Suffice it to say, you should get with a Retirement Plan specialist who is also a Financial Planner to uncover what YOU really should be accumulating in your 401(k) for a healthy Retirement.
