Child Support - Custodial parent seeking increase, is a W-2 sufficient or do I have to provide my tax return which also includes my new wife's income? Husband's ex is seeking a child support increase which she is entitled to. Her lawyer, granted we have not been to court yet, is asking for my husbands tax return. We file jointly so my income is also included on our return. I'm not comfortable with my husbands ex knowing how much I make and how much I withhold and put into my 401k, not her business, right? He said he would gladly give her his W-2, but she's insisting on seeing the tax return. Is this customary? I would think my information is priviledged, no? Any info would be appreciated. |
