Can severe burns leaving permanent scars ever been part of a retirement equation? I was burned over 39%% of my body and the Power Company Representatives said that the Company would do right by this accident and the Medical and Associated treatments as well as my salary continued; but there was never anything for Pain,Suffering or the Permanent Scarring. As I continued too work over the years as the New Company (ies) acquired us I realized that perhaps every employee needs a "LEGAL AVENUE OF CONTACT IN THE EVENT THAT SHE OR HE IS SEVERELY INJURED ON THE JOB", as now that I am nearing retirement and as different companies has acquired our smaller companies and those who made promises are no loger there, or died! |
