Can my ex husband ssi benefits replace his court ordered child support? He stop paying child support since he gets ssi benefits. He also has other retirement plans. |

Absolutely!
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources. When an individual is retired or disabled and begins to recieve ssi then a garnishment can be placed against the beneficiary's social security check to collect on a child's support obligation even if the child has passed the age of majority.
I highly recommend checking with your States local Child Support Enforcement Office for exact clarity.
