Am I entitled to any of my deceased ex husbands retirement? We were married in the state of Texas for 20 years and he worked for the railroad for 34 years . The money is in a 401k. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you . |

This should have been addressed in your divorce decree. If it was not mentioned, you won't get any of the 401k unless he named you as the beneficiary, or included something in his will for you.
However, if you haven't remarried, you can apply to receive social security based on his lifetime earnings, if his were higher than your own.
