How long does an employer have once received the rollover info from their 401 to my own ira

I have already an ira and filled out forms and was told to send to the employer. last day of employment 4/30/09 and forms sent filled out with qualified pretax ira information for them to rollover the 401k to. how long do they have? i have checked my ira and it is not there yet. thank you.
