Can you roll over your 401K's if your company has put a freeze on it? Due to economy our company has put a freeze on our 401k's. No contributing and no company matching. We are told we can not move or take it out. Is this legal? What our our options? |

We don't seem to be gaining any ground in our 401k's. i least in the cd's we know we will make some money instead of losing. we are 56 & 57 and would like to retire at 62.
I have worked for a small family owned business for over 20 years. they are now struggling to make ends meet with today's economy. i was wondering if some longtime employees could look into buying into this business using our 401k's? is there any less penalty if this is the only alternative...
